Description of Duties:

The Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for the overall administration of all instructional operations.

Required Qualifications:
Five years senior educational administrative experience directly related to the position summary and essential functions listed above in a comprehensive community college setting and an earned doctorate degree from an accredited educational institution required. Must have a broad range of experience in all facets of academic affairs including, but not limited to, program development, advisory committees, program accreditation processes, curriculum development, and the ability to develop strong faculty relations. The employee must possess the ability to supervise multiple campus departments, to work with a culturally diverse community and student body; and the ability to work collaboratively with other administrators, faculty, and staff to advance the goals of the instructional program. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:
A working knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations as they apply to higher education and experience in working with state legislators to achieve the common goals of the institution preferred.
