Description of Duties:

Department: Extended Learning, Distance Learning & Technology Ensures that the Tseng College website, which is in the Acquia cloud computing server environment, has excellent functionality and dynamic user engagement. Provides critical and innovative technical support to campus. Development and implementation of a database driven website. Develops and manages data version control; supports CRM tool; markets programs; project management and implementation; technical support for hybrid and fully online programs and courses; etc.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's in educational technology, computer science, or a related field; Three years of full-time, progressively responsible field-related experience that includes knowledge of relevant hardware, software, maintenance, and user support. Certification training and applied experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis up to two years. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of a variety of software application packages, equipment platforms, reference database systems and sources, and training methods and a basic understanding of networks, data communication, and multimedia systems. Thorough knowledge of web development and design. Functional knowledge of: Drupal, PHP, XHTML, CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, Linux, MS windows Server, Adobe Creative Suite, web browsers, mobile devices, both mac and pc platforms, server operating systems and cloud computing, video (lecture capture, premiere, and videography equipment) and other educational technologies highly desirable. Working knowledge of database driven websites and eCommerce websites with front-end and back-end development preferred. Knowledge of ADA (Section 508 A) compliance is preferred. Ability and specialized skills to: manage projects; apply and assess user needs; identify, analyze and address user problems; analyze problems and propose effective solution; understand functional and procedural requirements and develop alternative solutions; relate system solutions to departmental management and staff; and communicate effectively both orally and in writing; make presentations; conduct meetings; develop and/or provide user training; prepare programming and user documentation; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration. Ability to accommodate clients in different time zones and attend meetings at a variety of times and locations (on and off campus).

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred. Five years of experience in the development, implementation, and support of technical projects and technologies for learning management, collaboration, communication, productivity, and business management and support functions is preferred. Experience developing and implementing websites or course sites such as Moodle, Collaborate and other software and leading teams to solve high-level technology problems is preferred.
