Description of Duties:

The Director of Residence Life reports to the Dean of Students, and is responsible for overall leadership and management of Residence Life. The Department of Residence Life employs 18 full-time and over 125 part-time employees, manages 29 facilities on campus, generates annual revenues in excess of $8 million, and provides services to over 2,200 students and 2,800 summer guests annually.

Required Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field at time of application * Seven years of progressively responsible experience in University Housing and Residence Life. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate with a diverse population, and the willingness to be part of a collaborative team. Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of college student development theory, issues and trends * A comprehensive vision of Residence Life * Demonstrated experience in supervision of professional staff, budget administration, management of residential facilities and student occupancy, summer conference operations, and student life * Solid oral and written communication skills, administrative and organizational abilities, and computer proficiency

This position includes the following responsibilities: * Administer, coordinate, and supervise of all aspects of on-campus housing. * Coordinate the following for the Department of Residence Life: * Budget development, allocation and monitoring. * Housing reports and surveys. * Physical facilities and capital projects. * Operations and occupancy management. * Hiring, supervising and training staff. * Implementation of approved policies and procedures. * Develop and maintain a high quality of student life which contributes to the educational and personal growth and development of students residing in university housing. * Make recommendations regarding policy, procedure, organization, facilities, and management as appropriate. Provide leadership to Residence Life by clarifying priorities, encouraging staff development, and recognizing service success. * Supervise and evaluate the Residence Life Administrative Leadership Team. * Review and evaluate services, programs, publications, policies and procedures of the Residence Life Office on an annual basis. * Complete or assist with the completion of appropriate UW Green Bay, UW System, State, Federal, and private reports, forms, surveys, and studies. * Coordinate all housing disciplinary procedures, annually review rules and regulations, and make appropriate recommendations as appropriate. * Participate in University management of student misconduct, crisis response, emergency preparedness, and continuity of operations planning. * Serve as Residence Life liaison with other campus units. Serve as Residence Life liaison to the University Village Housing Inc., Board of Directors.
