Director of Academic Advising

Description of Duties:

Western Wyoming Community College is now taking application for the Director of Academic Advising. This is a full time, 12 month per year position. The Director of Academic Advising is responsible for oversight of the WWCC ACE-IT Center which includes academic advising, career counseling, and employment, internships and transfer programs for Western Wyoming Community College. This is a critical position in the campus structure because of the high level of responsibility for student retention and completion. This person has significant responsibilities for student engagement, advising, orientation, placement testing, and retention activities. This employee oversees an intrusive system of student educational planning and support. This person will coordinate the flow of accurate and detailed information to students and faculty advisors. Oversee the satisfactory academic progress program, and assists with college transfer and articulation efforts. This employee works closely with other members of the Student Success Services Team and the campus community to accomplish comprehensive student engagement and completion goals.
