Adjunct Professors - School of Computer Information Systems

Description of Duties:

The School of Computer Information Systems is currently accepting applications for adjunct teaching faculty positions to facilitate the courses taught at our Fairfax, VA campus in the for our Master's, Bachelor's and certificate programs. The teaching faculty provides quality education and service to the students in meeting the objectives of our programs and preparing out students to effectively participate in the global community and the global workforce. Duties: The adjunct teaching faculty performs duties relating to the delivery of curricula in an in-classroom setting. This includes, but is not limited to planning and developing lesson plans, managing the classroom activities, provides the students with guidance to accessing resources supporting the course objectives, grading assignments and providing timely feedback to the students during their class hours and via other channels of communication. The adjunct faculty supports relevant University initiatives, and is provided with a variety of opportunities for professional development. Requirements and Qualifications: Master's or doctoral degree in a computing discipline. Successful candidates will have extensive industry or teaching experience, together with excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles, and deliver instruction to students with diverse learning styles. *Specification:We are currently seeking applicants with a PhD in Computer Science with a focus in Compiler Construction.
