Associate Director of International Admission (R3009)

Description of Duties:

Title: Associate Director of International Admission Department: Office of Admission Campus: Queens Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Admission, the Associate Director will develop and carry out an effective international recruitment and strategic plan in order to meet international undergraduate enrollment goals. Based out of the Queens, NY campus, the Associate Director of International Admission will be expected to: Spearhead the recruitment and enrollment of international students by developing and carrying out an effective international recruitment and strategic plan. Provide feedback, analysis and a level of international expertise to the Director of Admission and the A.V.P. for Enrollment regarding successes with and challenges to recruiting international students. Oversee the completion, review and conversion of international student applications; review freshmen and transfer applications with foreign credentials in a timely fashion. Serve as liaison to such offices as the International Student Office and the Intensive English Program. Develop contacts with high schools, colleges/universities, agents and professional associations. Ensure web and print materials regarding international admission are current. Manage such recruitment and conversion events as area receptions, online chats and virtual college fairs for international students; participate in such on-campus recruitment events as Open House and Accepted Student Day; assist with the daily operations of the Office of Admission through admission presentations, interviews, and on- and off-campus admission events. Manage and train a professional, support and student worker staff.
