Award is Presented to Top Lacrosse Players

Rob Pannell of Cornell and Katie Schwarzmann of Maryland on Thursday won the Tewaaraton Award, given to the top men’s and women’s players in the country. Pannell, an attackman, helped the Big Red make the Final Four. He finished his career with 354 points, an N.C.A.A. record. Schwarzmann, a midfielder, won the award for a second consecutive year after helping the Terrapins to the N.C.A.A. title game, where they lost to North Carolina in triple overtime.
